PHARMACEUTICAL

We have worked on a number of schemes for this company including the following:

A one-per-desk project was designed for the Advertising department which required job related training for everyone in the division as well as the twice yearly intake of graduates.

The procedure for product launches involved the use of standard memos, forms and sheets which were created as templates.

The training was built around a product launch scenario and covered the topics necessary to perform the task. The role of IT representative was created so that each department had a first-call contact for problems.

A course was designed covering machine, network and communications configuration, DOS, Windows and application problem solving.

The five day course was spread over a four week period and over forty people were trained in groups of five or six.Laptop computers and printers were issued to their sales force. Seventy plus people were trained over two days in groups of six in the use and care of the hardware and the e-mail program.

This was followed by a further two day session in the use of an in-house order management system for which we wrote the user manual, quick reference guide and training course.

PUBLISHING COMPANY

An in-house sales ordering system was adapted from an American version and issued to their sales staff on laptop computers.

We trained their sales people in the use of the hardware. Windows and the new software.

Chrysalis designed the training course, notes, manuals and quick reference guides.

We have worked with them to adapt these as the software has been upgraded and modified for their European representatives.

We also ran a project for 500 staff to be converted to Windows NT and Microsoft Office 97.

FINANCIAL SERVICES

This division of a multi-national company handles the factoring services provided by RBSCS.

Bespoke software is issued to their clients for this service.

We designed and ran training courses for their staff and wrote the guide to accompany the software.

Courses were held in the South, Midlands and the North.

We subsequently trained their staff in the new Windows version and completed a conversion programme for Windows NT and Microsoft Office 97 for their Feltham and Leeds offices.

SOLICITOR

Detailed discussions were held with this firm of solicitors when they introduced computers and a network to their company.

Questionnaires were designed to determine the type of work carried out; templates and glossaries set up for standard letters, precedents and forms; guidelines agreed on file naming and storage.

We prepared and participated in a presentation to their staff on the use and benefits of the new system and the part they would play in the introduction of the technology.

With the information gained, separate courses were designed for the fee earners and the secretarial staff with detailed notes relating to their particular set-up.

CONSTRUCTION

This construction company issued computers to their branches spread throughout the UK.

We travelled to each of these providing training in the use and care of the computer as well as a company tailored introduction to the spreadsheet program using exercises and examples related to their industry.

HOTELS

When the Forte headquarters moved to High Holborn we assisted with the presentation to the staff of the network installation and the software to be used.

We created a guide and trained their staff in the use of their Corporate database which was written in-house.

We subsequently provided training on various programmes for their hotels throughout the UK.

Queens Moat Houses developed templates for their Conference and Banqueting functions and we trained their staff in the use of these and additional Word functions.

In addition to conventional training, we have run a number of workshops for Firmdale Hotels enabling a number of staff to be trained quickly on specific topics across a range of software.
